Parking for Laurel Bank Park

PastedGraphic-1As the Carnival of Flowers comes to a close, we want to commend the gardening crew for their fantastic work in Laurel Bank Park. For those who haven’t yet visited, we’re offering our parking lot for use during the hours we’re closed —Saturday afternoons and Sundays—so you can enjoy the gardens.

We’re also proud to support the Toowoomba Allstars, a local softball team. Our sponsorship has provided jerseys for 72 kids playing over the next three years.

Chris at NZCC’s 30-Year Celebration

PastedGraphic-2Chris recently attended the New Zealand College of Chiropractic’s Lyceum in New Zealand, celebrating the college’s 30th anniversary. Chris has been involved for all of the colleges history, is currently serving as the Chairman of the board and both Daniel and Emma (Chris and Jane’s daughter) completed their studies in Auckland. This year as part of the celebration Chris was involved along with the New Zealand Governor General in inducting legends of the profession into the New Zealand order of Chiropractic, the highest award for the profession in New Zealand. I want to acknowledge Chris for his dedication and hard work over the years to ensure world-class chiropractic education in the Southern Hemisphere.

Daniel’s CPD in Paediatrics

Daniel has started a Chiropractic Pediatrics course with Inspiral. Our Chiropractors continually up-skill to stay current with best practices. If you have questions about how chiropractic care can benefit a child in your life, please ask!

Family and Friends Day

Mark your calendars for our Family and Friends Day on Saturday, November 16th! If you’re new to our practice, this is a great opportunity to discover the benefits of Chiropractic care for your loved ones. On the day, Chiropractors Chris, Brent, and Daniel will conduct a comprehensive consultation, including an in-depth case history, spinal and neurological examinations, a computerised postural assessment, and X-rays if clinically necessary—all for just $120 (regular price $310). Don’t miss out—appointments are limited, so book now!

Patient of the Month

We love celebrating the fantastic results we see in our practice. This month, we want to share the story of a young patient we’ll call Steve (to protect his privacy). Steve was experiencing bedwetting issues. His grandmother, Claire, a patient of Daniel’s, remembered that her daughter had similar struggles as a child and found relief through Chiropractic care. Encouraged by this experience, Claire urged Steve’s mum to bring him in to see Chris. Chris has a fantastic explanation for how Chiropractic works, even a kid can understand – he explained how the body operates like a computer, the nervous system works like the control panel with the bones of the spine serving as switches. All that a
Chiropractor does is look for the switches that are turned off – stopping the nerve from working properly – and turns them back on .. After being adjusted, Steve’s body is working better and he has successfully stopped wetting the bed.

Meet Ellie

IMG_8284This year, we welcomed five new faces at our front desk, and we’re excited to introduce them over the coming months. This month, meet Ellie, one of our afternoon CA’s. Ellie is studying Business and Marketing at USQ and enjoys spending time with her two nieces and nephew. Her favourite vacation spot is Burleigh Heads, and she stays healthy by going to the gym, drinking plenty of water, and maintaining a balanced diet. When she’s not at Barham Chiropractic, you can find her shopping or spending time with family.

Horse Update

Linwar had a fantastic first showing in Toowoomba, finishing second! His jockey, Bubba, noted his impressive turn of foot. Airman had a fantastic win at the Precise Air Premier stakes at Randwick. He has been nominated for the Sydney stakes and is the first in relief for the Everest. Joliestar has been nominated for the Golden Eagle, and Everest in Sydney, with excellent odds to win. Benedetta, another horse to watch, is also nominated for the same races—her dam, Whatalovelyday, is part of Chris and Jane’s broodmares in the Hunter Valley.
