Giving vs Getting
At Barham we have a list of things that we value, that we believe in, that defines why we do what we do. Clearly these are about positively helping people and families in our communities. How we do this is by looking after each other and making a difference in peoples lives.. What we do at Barham starts with Chiropractic care.
We believe that parents want to teach children life long values .. values like gratitude, discipline, respect, perseverance and responsibility .. and looking after those less fortunate than ourselves. At Barham we believe in supporting our communities .. and we know you do too. Join us this Christmas to support Lifeline in collecting gifts for children in our area who are less fortunate than others. Lifeline have provided us with children’s names and ages and we would like you and your family to get involved in the spirit of Christmas. By ‘adopting’ a child and taking one of the gift tags we have organised it is an opportunity to teach your children the value of giving by purchasing an appropriate gift for the adoptee. Please return your gift unwrapped (or in a Christmas bag) with the name tag attached before December 7th so that Lifeline can collect and deliver in time for Christmas morning. Thank you for your support.
Barham Candle
We have teamed up with local Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and Candle Maker Des Potter, Des recycles candle wax that he collects from churches to make candles, he then donates all his profits to maintain an orphanage in Namibia, Africa. We believe this is a business worth supporting by gifting every new patient in our practices with a with a Barham Signature candle as a welcome gift .. and they will know they are paying it forward and helping someone else make their way in this world.
Horse Update
We are all proud of the effort that Airman and Joliestar put in at the Sydney stakes and Everest respectively – It was a very exciting weekend and although we were all wishing for a different result being nominated and running in those races is an amazing achievement. Legacy Bay has started her spring campaign winning her maiden – running from the Moody stable in the Barham blue and gold silks, she is a full sister to Joliestar and named for her grandmother Legally Bay.
Daniel & Brent holidays
Daniel has a holiday with his family at the gold coast the first week of November.. Brent is going away with his family to the sunshine coast the first week of December.
Introducing Maddie
We have had a lot of new faces in the practice this year – Introducing one of our two amazing mums behind the front desk – Maddie .. Maddie has a beautiful daughter Elsie – Her favourite place to holiday is the Sunshine Coast, her favourite food is Italian with lots of cheese. She’s deathly afraid of lizards, loves taking her daughter to the park. Was born and bred in Toowoomba and would love to travel around the world.
Continued Professional Development – Health Talks
Next year the Chiropractors are excited to get out into the community and spread the word of what it is we do and how we can help people – We have all committed to up skilling our public speaking so that we can provide a better service – If you have a workplace or community that you want us to come and talk to please let your Chiropractor know at your next visit.
Family and Friends
Our family and friends day on November 16th is fast approaching – If you have a loved one who you think will benefit from being checked but they are hesitant due to time restraint or cost this is the day for them .. On the Saturday morning all Chiropractors will be available to see new patients, visits include a initial consultation, neurological, orthopaedic and spinal examination, and X-rays (when clinically relevant) for the price of $120 (valued at $310). Take this opportunity at the end of the year to use your private health for your loved ones before it renews. There are spots still available but act quickly they will be gone soon.
Spinal Care Classes Starting in the New Year
We all get a lot of questions from you about what you should be doing outside of being adjusted to prevent future injury and get the best from your Chiropractic care. We run out of hours in the day to answer you all, so we are also starting our Spinal care classes again next year – We will be running them consistently and it will give you the opportunity to get those questions answered. Keep and eye out for the dates – we are excited, its a lot of fun to see the results people get when they know how to support their care.
