Your First Visit — What to Expect

Your first appointment is about understanding you — your history, your goals, and what’s been holding you back. Here’s how it unfolds.

. Welcome & Health History

We’ll sit down together and go through your full health history — previous injuries, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, and your wellness goals. This is your time to talk.

. Comprehensive Examination

A thorough physical and neurological examination including posture analysis, range of motion testing, and orthopaedic assessments to identify the root cause of your concern.

. Digital X-Rays (Where Indicated)

If X-rays are clinically indicated, we’ll refer you to our neighbouring imaging clinic conveniently located next door. X-rays are covered by Medicare, so there’s no out-of-pocket cost. Once your images are ready, we’ll review them together and walk you through exactly what they show.

. Your Personalised Report

At your follow-up appointment, we’ll sit down and walk you through exactly what we found, what it means, and the best path forward for you so you leave with a clear plan and no unanswered questions..

. Questions & Next Steps

No pressure, no rush. We answer every question you have and give you time to decide on the path forward that feels right for you.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us at any time. Chiropractic is a primary contact healthcare profession, which means you can come straight to us without seeing your GP first.

Will the adjustment hurt?

Most clients experience little to no discomfort during an adjustment. You may feel a sense of pressure or hear a ‘pop’ sound — this is simply gas releasing from the joint, not anything harmful. We always work within your comfort level.

How long is the first appointment?

Your initial visit is typically 30-45 minutes. We take the time to do a thorough assessment rather than rushing through — this ensures we understand your situation fully before making any recommendations.
Am I locked into a care plan?
Absolutely not. We’ll recommend what we believe is in your best interest, but there is never any obligation to commit to a package or long-term plan. You’re always in control of your care.

Can chiropractic help me even if I’m not in pain?

Yes — many of our clients come for proactive wellness care, not just pain relief. Maintaining good spinal health can support your posture, mobility, nervous system function, and overall quality of life.

Do you see children and elderly clients?

We welcome clients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Our techniques are always adapted to suit the age, health status, and comfort of each individual client.
